Corporate Partnerships
Several local businesses, large and small, have helped the Hospice by actively encouraging their employees to raise funds for the Hospice. Many have chosen to support the Hospice by organising fundraising events, undertaking sponsored activities, adopting the Hospice as their charity or encouraging their employees to join the Hospice Lottery.
Could your company do the same?
If you would like to help in this way, or join our Corporate Partner Scheme, please contact John Fellowes on 0161 330 7788 for a chat.
Cheshire Building Society
The Hospice would like to recognise the tremendous support of the Cheshire Building Society in sponsoring the Hospice Bulletin. According to Martin Wheeldon, the Society's Area Manager: "Helping the local community is an important part of being a Building Society, something to which the Cheshire is firmly committed".
The Cheshire has also launched the Caring for Hospices account, which offers a competitive rate of interest, and allows you to support one of a number of Hospices (including Willow Wood) at the same time - the Hospice of your choice will receive 1% of the average total balance of the account each year. The more you save the more they will receive.
British Gas
Willow Wood is fortunate to have received the support of British Gas Tameside.
Clare Livsey, corporate social repesponsibilty co-ordinator for British Gas Tameside, said: "At British Gas we take our responsibility very seriously and we are delighted to be involved with Willow Wood. This is such a worthwhile local charity caring for local people and we are firmly committed to supporting our community."
"Working alongside staff and volunteers at the Hospice has been a great experience for our staff and we would actively encourage other companies to get involved and support this worthwhile cause - the benefits of being associated with a well-known charity like Willow Wood should not be underestimated."
Other Companies
Other organisations pledging their support to Wilow Wood include Marks & Spencers and Sainsburys. The Exchange Square and Stockport branches of M&S have chosen Willow Wood as their charity of the year, whilst the Regent Road Sainsburys supermarket have helped swell the Hospice's coffers with a variety of fundraising events.
Payroll Giving - tax free charitable giving direct from your pay
Payroll Giving is a simple, efficient and flexible scheme, which allows you to donate to any UK registered charity of your choice by a direct deduction from your wage. All donations given in this way are tax effective so the charity receives your donation and the tax you would have paid on this amount.
Payroll Giving donations are deducted before tax so each £1 you give will only cost you 80p, and if you're a higher rate tax payer it will only cost you 60p.
Payroll Giving is a valuable, long term source of revenue for charities, providing regular income to help budget and plan ahead more effectively. You can choose to support any charity of your choice with a regular donation direct from your pay.
