If you enjoy eating, drinking and socialising with friends and family - and let's face it, who doesn't? - Dine@Mine is the ideal way to raise funds for Willow Wood.

This new initiative is the way to have a great evening, with great company, great food and for a great cause - all at the same time. Invite friends and family round to your home where you can cook up a storm and cook up funds for Willow Wood Hospice at the same time.

How Does Dine@Mine Work?

You probably already invite people over regularly for a meal or a drink - and don't worry if you feel your culinary and organisational skills can't match those TV chefs, Dine@Mine doesn't have to be a formal dinner party. The beauty of this event is that it can be just what you want to make it.

If using your fine china and organising a three course formal dinner suits your style then that's wonderful. If not, whatever appeals to you is fine - remember, fund raising for Willow Wood is only one part of Dine@Mine. Having fun and socialising is just as important.

Help - I Can't Cook!

Don't worry if you're unsure about your skills in the kitchen - Dine@Mine is about having a relaxed and enjoyable time with your friends and loved ones. Organise a takeaway or decant your supermarket's offerings into your own serving dishes (we won't tell!). Ask your guests to bring along a range of dishes for a buffet, or you cook the starter and nominate others for the main course and pudding.

How Do I Raise the Funds?

There are a variety of ways to raise funds for Willow Wood. You could:

• Ask guests to donate what they would have paid for a restaurant meal
• Ask for a fixed donation, or sell tickets
• Organise a raffle during the evening - prizes of wine or chocolates always go down well

And don't forget to ask your guests to host their own event for Dine@Mine and invite you back!
