Penny Pinching - What Can You Do With 50p?

Fifty pence - not much use to you really is it? What can 50p buy each month - a bar of chocolate, a daily paper, a cup of coffee from your office machine?

But 50p donated to Willow Wood Hospice on a regular basis will make a real difference to our funds. To put this into context, if there are 200 employees at your place of work who all donate 50p per month, over one year this would total £1,200 donated to the Hospice.

If each employee also signs the Gift Aid declaration, then the government contribute an additional 28% to further boost our coffers. All this from just £6 of your wages evenly spread throughout the year!

Willow Wood Hospice can arrange with your wages department to automatically deduct 50p from your pay so that you will not even notice it's gone. No fuss, no hassle, just the satisfaction that you've helped us help the people of Tameside and Glossop who have a life limiting illness.

Selling on ebay

Hospice supporters can now donate online when they sell items on eBay. At the touch of a button, between 10 and 100 percent of any sale proceeds will go direct to Willow Wood.

Former Retail Manager Wayne Andrew said: "This is an excellent opportunity for people to donate quickly and easily whil earning money for themselves. Every item will feature a charity ribbon, our name and logo, and the percentage you are donating, so people will know they are supporting a worthy cause. It could even help your item sell quicker and make more money!"

To start donating straight away, visit www.ebay.co.uk/ebay-for-charity and register for eBay and Mission Fish seller accounts. Mission Fish - a not-for-profit service provider - will send all donations to the Hospice.

Donations via JustGiving.com

Willow Wood Hospice has teamed up with JustGiving.com so all our fundraisers and events participants can raise money quickly and easily online with their own personalised webpages.

Donations by Credit Card

The Hospice is able to accept donations by credit card (with the exception of American Express).

If you would like to make a donation in this way please speak to John Fellowes or Dot Birchfield in the Appeals Office.

Gift Aid - Claim Back Your Tax!

UK Income Tax laws allow the Hospice to claim back the tax on donations from UK tax payers, whatever the size.

If you are making a donation to the Hospice please ask for a form. All you have to do is enter your name and address, and the Hospice will do the rest!

By doing this simple task, the Hospice can make your donation worth nearly 30% more!
