Midnight Wander 2008

This year's event will take place on Friday 27 June 2008

Following the success of last year's event (with over 1,400 taking part), Willow Wood is once again organising a fully marshalled sponsored walk taking in parts of Stalybridge, Ashton and Dukinfield.

This will be bigger and better than before, with more walkers, more marshals, more entertainment and more facilities. The only thing there will be less of is queues!

Starting and finishing in Cheetham's Park, Stalybridge, the 10K walk will be on fully paved, well-lit walkways and will cause the minimum of disruption to residents.

For a £10 registration fee you will receive a commemorative T-shirt, glow bracelet, water and breakfast at the end. Encourage your female friends, family and colleagues to walk with you, and ask all the men in your life if they can assist with the marshalling of the event. Don't forget to ask everyone you know for sponsorship!

If, for health reasons, you are unable to walk the full 10K, this year we shall be starting the event with the Midnight Mobility Wander. At a distance of approximately one kilometre this will be mainly on the flat, and should be within the reach of most, whether you are in a wheelchair, need to be accompanied by a carer or are just unable to walk that far. If you feel this is the option for you, please tick the relevant box on the Registration Form and we will send you further details.

The Midnight Wander is a vital part of our fundraising activities, and we ask that you try to raise as much sponsorship as possible to help us maintain the provision of loving care for our community. As well as asking all your friends, family and colleagues to sponsor you why not ask your employers if they can match you? We can provide posters to publicise your efforts if you feel that this could help generate more support.
