Midnight Wander 2010

Our fourth Ladies-only Midnight Wander took place on Friday 2 July 2010. This wonderful occasion attracted over 1,500 entrants from all over Tameside and Glossop and further afield.

Our "wonderful wanderers" pledged a magnificant £125,345 on the night.

Thank you to everyone who played a part in this unique event.

The response from our "wanderers" was quite astounding, as was the level of support from the voluntary and business communities, many of whom waived their fees. The support from our small army of volunteers, whether on registration or out on the route, was nothing short of fantastic.

The Midnight Wander obviously plays a major part in our fundraising calendar and all of our "wonderful wanderers" pledged to raise vital funds for the Hospice. However, we do appreciate, possibly more than most, that sometimes the hardest part of any sponsored event is collecting the sponsorship money after the event. Our "wanderers" have been asked to pay their sponsorships by the end of July, so if you have sponsored one of the "wanderers" please help them to help us by giving them your donation as soon as possible

Finally, we're sure it will come as no surprise to anyone that we'll be repeating the Midnight Wander in 2011. This will be the fifth Anniversary event so we have bigger and better things planned.
