Matron Band 8 a/b; 37.5 Hours/Week (Flexible Working); 1/4 Week On-Call Rota We are seeking a highly motivated person who will lead, develop and promote excellence in care throughout the Hospice. As part of the Senior Management team, you will be advising the Chief Executive Officer, and take an active role in the planning process and strategic development of the Hospice. With experience of leading a multi-professional team in Palliative Care, the Matron will be responsible for providing line management support to directly managed clinical/social staff. He/she will be expected to create an environment of continuous quality improvement and professional development. The applicant must be a Registered General Nurse Level 1, be educated to degree level or equivalent and experienced at a senior manager level. A post registered qualification in Specialist/Palliative Care and a teaching/assessment certificate or equivalent is desirable. The successful applicant must be highly innovative, energetic and determined.
