Kellie, shop manager

Our shop is a good size with lots of clothes for the whole family, small amounts of furniture and a fantastic range of strange and fascinating bric a brac.

Our shop, in the Waterloo area of Ashton, is a local hub with a very strong community connection. Everyone knows everyone and it’s a fantastic place to meet up with friends and have a chat and a good old laugh with our team. We are also very good listeners for customers and donors who are having a hard time and we also support each other through the good times and the bad for which I’m truly thankful.

My job makes me feel proud as I know what this shop achieves to help the hospice and our volunteers, we have amazing support from our customers and I love being a part of it.

We are a big team at Willow Wood and we all get involved helping out. I have done the Midnight Wander to help raise funds and I also volunteer through the year at events like the Summer Fete, Winter Fete and any others that they need help with, and I really enjoy doing it. As a matter of fact - I love it!
