Philip Millson
Chair & Trustee
I am a Chartered Management Consultancy Surveyor (MRICS) and Chartered Building Engineer. Having started my career with Ashton-u-Lyne Borough Council in the 1970’s, I established my own practice in 1980 in Stalybridge. Employing hundreds of staff over the years and working for a diverse range of clients has given me extensive experience in HR, negotiation skills, dispute resolution and how to build successful teams.
I have been responsible for the design, project management and development of property and assets for individuals, corporate firms, financial institutions, and charitable bodies. My role has been to maximise our clients returns on their investments and minimise their risk. My area of specialisation is masterplanning and rationalisation of property and land assets.
I became a Trustee in 2020 and am currently acting chair of the trustees. I am passionate about the personal development and training of colleagues and I have a particular and personal interest in mental health issues.
I am married with two children and three grandchildren and live in Gee Cross, Hyde. My leisure interests include cycling, music and travel.
