Latest Fantastic £10,000 donation from the Albert Hunt Trust
Willow Wood would like to express its sincere gratitude to the Albert Hunt Trust who last month donated £10,000 to the Hospice.
The Trust has been very generous over the years to Willow Wood with previous donations being used to purchase essential patient equipment including specialist mattresses, hoists and furniture for patient rooms. Over the past few years when, due to the pandemic, our shops were closed and our fundraising events cancelled, the Albert Hunt Trust committed to providing regular unrestricted core funding to the Hospice sector. This latest donation is a further example of that day-to-day funding, and one for which Willow Wood is very grateful.
The whole team appreciates the Trust’s continued support, and nursing sister Caroline Corbett (centre in photo with drs Mary and Rosie) said, “Working on our Inpatient Unit I see the benefits of these donations every single day. We couldn’t care for our patients without the support of our community and funding such as this goes a long way to helping us stay at the forefront of Hospice care.
We are very grateful that the Trust have supported us once more and look forward to strengthening our relationship in the future.”
