Child & Young Person's Counselling

Willow Wood Hospice provides a free and confidential counselling service to the family members of its patients aged 5-18 years.

Grief can be difficult for everyone, but particularly for children and young people. They may find it easy to talk or they may not want to talk at all. There is no wrong or right way to grieve but our counselling service can help them make sense of their grief.

We will help them explore their feelings in a safe and comfortable place where they can be supported by a trained counsellor. Counselling usually lasts for six to twelve weekly sessions.

If you know a child of young person who would benefit from bereavement support, contact our Family Support team on 0161 330 1100.
