Patient & Family Support

Willow Wood offers practical, emotional and spiritual support to our patients, their families and loved ones.

Willow Wood is an organisational member of the BACP and subscribes to the BACP Ethical Framework.

The Family Support team is made up of qualified psychotherapists, counsellors, and trained volunteers.

Our team offers the following patient and family support to our patients, their families and their loved ones:
Counselling for Adults
This can provide a space to talk about loss. Therapy groups and individual face-to-face counselling are available.
Child and Youth Counselling
We offer support to children and young people when there is significant illness in the family before and after bereavement.
Bereavement Support
The Hospice offers a wide range of support to patients and their families, from emotional support to practical help.
Spiritual Care
We have chaplains of differing faiths who are available to meet patients and their loved ones, exploring questions or simply just being there.
Services of Thanksgiving & Remembrance
These regular services allow family and friends to reflect on and commemorate loved ones.
