The 2.6 Challenge

Can you take on the 2.6 Challenge to support Willow Wood? It's a fantastic initiative dreamed up by the organisers of some of the biggest mass-participation sports events in the UK. They've come together to create a new campaign to raise vital funds to help save the country's charities - the 2.6 Challenge.

The onset of the Covid-19 virus has meant the cancellation or postponement of both mass participation national fundraisers, and our own fundraising events. This will result in a huge shortfall in our income - which is vitally needed to enable us to maintain our care.
London Marathon Events has teamed up with other UK event organisers to create The 2.6 Challenge, beginning on Sunday 26 April – what should have been the date of the 40th London Marathon, the world’s biggest one-day annual fundraising event.
We’re asking you to dream up an activity based around the numbers 2.6 or 26 and fundraise or donate £26 to Willow Wood. The ideas and options are endless! You can do anything you like as long as it follows the Government’s guidance on exercise and social distancing. You could:
Do 26 keepie-uppies
Run 2.6 miles
Run 26 miles (not all in one go!)
Turn 26 cartwheels
Do 26 minutes of aerobics
Or anything you like - so long as it's fun! There are plenty more ideas on the 2.6 Challenge site. You can then either decide to make us a one-off £26 donation by clicking the link below:

Or you can set up your own Justgiving page and ask family and friends to sponsor you - we'll be so grateful either way.

Once you've done your challenge share a photo or video on social media. Just use #TwoPointSixChallenge and tag Willow Wood!
We're so looking forward to you getting involved and seeing all your challenges. Thank you for caring for Willow Wood, and the best of luck!
