We're asking corporates, businesses, teams, students or individuals to take part in our new Corporate Challenge. All entrants will be given £50 to invest in fundraising challenges raising as much as possible for the Hospice.
Every team, or individual entrant, will be given £50, and the challenge is to turn this into as much as they possibly can between 1 July and 30 September. All teams will be invited to an awards ceremony in October, where their achievements will be celebrated and trophies awarded.
The list of fundraising ideas is endless, but think creatively and have some fun along the way.
Organise a sponsored run, a bake sale, a raffle. Hold a dress down day, a family fun day, a car wash.
Or how about sponsored head shaves, leg (or chest) wax, or even a bath of beans!
Think outside the box and try to come up with something new - there could be a special award for innovation and imagination!
Willow Wood has a full calendar of events, enter a team in one or more of these to raise sponsorship and accumulate even more funds. Our Bubble Rush, which takes place on Sunday 8 July would be an ideal way to start the Challenge, or for something more daring, how about joining the Zip Wire team on 28 July.
THE BENEFITS FOR COMPANIES
- Team Building
- Staff Development
- Corporate Social Responsibility
- Positive PR
- Raising funds for charity
- Enhanced community support
The Corporate Challenge really is a great way to engage and motivate staff. It’s also a perfect opportunity to involve suppliers, clients or customers with community fundraising.
For companies, it showcases commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility policies.
Being involved with a prominent and well-loved local charity will bring many opportunities for positive PR.
Willow Wood has a very active social media presence and will be promoting the Corporate Challenge from the launch in April right through to the awards ceremony. There will be a Corporate Challenge page on the Willow Wood website, with regular updates online and in the local press.
Every team will also be given the opportunity to come along to Tameside Radio to discuss their fundraising and their involvement in this charity challenge.
THE BENEFITS FOR WILLOW WOOD
Willow Wood needs to raise £2.5million this financial year to maintain our holistic care for those with life-limiting illnesses and their families. Over 77% of this must be raised from our community, and taking part in this challenge will help ensure our future and enable us to provide life-enhancing care and support for the people of Tameside and Glossop.
