100k in 100 Days

Can you help Willow Wood by doing 100k in 100 days? Although it sounds very strenuous, it's actually only one kilometre per day for just over three months - and you can do it any way you like.

Got a home gym? Then mix it up with one day of rowing, one on the exercise bike and one on the treadmill - whatever is fun for you.
Or incorporate it into your daily routine by setting your fitness tracker while you’re doing your housework or going round the supermarket; it could even turn the chores into fun!
Of course if you have a dog, you’re probably already doing 1k per day without even thinking about it. The number of steps to a kilometre is usually averaged to about 1,300 steps – the exact distance depends on your height and length of stride and walking is a great, low impact way to get fit, with many health benefits. It’s suitable for all ages and fitness levels, helps lower blood pressure, boosts your metabolism and can even help you sleep better.
100k in 100 days fits very neatly into Willow Wood’s annual Ton of Love campaign, where the Hospice asks people to raise a minimum of just £100 to help keep their specialised and loving care free of charge for the people of Tameside and Glossop. By registering below, participants will receive a stylish Bee Safe or Bee Alert T shirt and be invited to be part of a celebratory artwork for the Willow Wood reception area.
Sign up now, and have the reassurance of knowing that any sponsor money raised will go directly to help patients and their loved ones when they need it the most.
