Big Bike Ride

The Big Bike Ride is back - and this year it'll be bigger and better than ever!

Willow Wood is proud to announce that this year's Big Bike Ride is being organised in partnership with the Tour de Manc, in order to provide the very best cycling experience for our supporters.

If you've participated in the Big Bike Ride before you'll know that the routes, although not the longest, have challenged your stamina with some testing hills and this has not changed. However, by joining forces with the Tour de Manc, we'll be able to improve and extend our routes and provide better signage, better back-up - there'll even be a mechanic out on the road for minor repairs.

There are four routes this year on the Big Bike Ride / Mini Manc:
  • 1-8km: A 1km flat cycle track - suitable for young or inexperienced cyclists who can choose their distance.
  • 16km: Mainly country lanes and quieter roads - if you cycle for fun and fitness this may be for you. Find the map view here, and the route link here.
  • 35km: Ready for a bit more of a challenge? - this route incorporates some testing hills. Find the map view here, and the route link here.
  • 48km: Some significant inclines for those with the stamina - at the highest point you'll be around 400m above sea level. Find the map view here, and the route link here.

It's great fun, a great challenge and you'll be raising funds for a great cause.
