Support Groups

Like to be involved but don’t want to do it all by yourself? Join one of our local fundraising groups.

Could you become part of a Willow Wood fundraising support group to give the Hospice a hand with some of our major events?

You’ll need to complete a form (attached) to register with us and outline your areas of interest. It may be that you’re happy to be called upon on an ad hoc basis and would like to help at our events – you could be marshalling at a sponsored walk or a bike ride, blasting Rainbow Runners with brightly coloured powdered paint, manning an event registration desk or a stall at a local carnival. These roles are very important to ensure that everything runs smoothly.

Alternatively, you might like to take on a more structured role as part of a committee and become involved at an earlier stage, helping to organise and promote events. Your skills and contacts could be very important to Willow Wood. Two of our wonderful supporters, Eileen Smith and Margaret Hambleton have not only been organising the annual Flower Festival for the past couple of years, but fundraise throughout the year to enable them to host this most colourful event. Could you form a support group like Eileen & Margaret?

If you would like to have a chat about what may be involved, or how you feel you could help please get in touch with a member of the fundraising team on 0161 330 7788.
