Fundraising Rules & Regulations
As with everything, certain rules and regulations apply to charity fundraising. Here are a few pointers for you, but please contact our fundraising team, for further advice.
We are happy for you to use our logo if you are producing your own posters or other publicity material. However, please contact us for a copy of our logo and our brand guidelines. Please remember to add the following wording adjacent to the logo 'Registered Charity No: 1029318'.
If you are holding a collection on private property such as a pub or shop you will need permission from the manager. This even applies to the car parking areas. If you wish to collect on the street you must apply for a licence from the local authority.
Once you have the relevant permissions we can provide sealed collection cans or buckets for your collection.
If you are holding a raffle, please remember that this is classed as gambling and tickets can only be purchased by people over 16 years of age. Prizes of alcohol can only be given to those over 18.
Cloakroom tickets are fine if the raffle is drawn on the same day that the tickets are sold, for example a raffle held during a concert. However, if you wish to have a longer timescale to sell the tickets our lottery department can provide these for you.
Once you have registered your event with us, our fundraising department can also provide a letter of authority stating that you are holding the raffle on our behalf.
Please ensure that you have completed your own risk assessment for your events. This does not need to be complicated, but Willow Wood cannot be held responsible for any issues that may arise.
Again, it is your responsibility to ensure that you are covered by Public Liability Cover if your event involves others.
