Climb the Three Peaks for Willow Wood - without leaving home!
Willow Wood is asking you to conquer the three highest peaks in the UK, that's Scafell Pike in England, Mount Snowdon in Wales and Ben Nevis in Scotland in a bid to raise vital funds for the Hospice. And our virtual challenge means you don't even need to leave your home to do it!
Unlike the real Three Peaks, our virtual challenge does not have to be achieved within 24 hours and there's no driving from place to place. You don't even need a pair of hiking boots - slippers are fine. Just take your time and enjoy the scenery!
So, if you've been climbing the walls whilst furloughed, have a change and climb the stairs instead - the only catch is that you've got to do it repeatedly.
To virtually scale Scafell Pike you will have to climb 412 flights of stairs, Snowdon is the equivalent of 475 flights and Ben Nevis, the biggest mountain in the UK, is 587 flights! That means you have to go up your stairs a total of 1,474 times - and one point to note, coming down doesn't count!
Once you've made the decision to take on the Virtual Three Peaks challenge, please complete the form below. We can even let you have one of our 'Team Willow Wood' T shirts to wear while you are climbing the stairs. And if you send us a photo and details of your online fundraising page we'll share on our social media to help you raise as much as possible in sponsorship which will help to to continue to care for the people of Tameside and Glossop.
