PAT Tester
All donated electrical appliances (such as kettles, radios, bedside lamps etc) must pass a PAT test prior to them being sold in our shops
- To complete a PAT tests on required items
- Issue certificates with the device once tested
- Record that the PAT test has been completed
- Dispose of any items that fail the PAT test
- All areas of Health and Safety will be covered in the initial induction training
- How to record the PAT tests
- The volunteer must hold a City & Guilds certificate in Portable Appliance Testing and show evidence of this
- Good record keeping skills
- Be able to work independently
- Be comfortable with lifting and moving items – some of which may be heavy
- Minimum two hour shifts, flexibility needed.
