In Patient Ward Manager

Band 7 - £33,222 - £43,041 Full Time – 37.5 hours

Willow Wood Hospice is set in a tranquil location in Ashton Under Lyne and serves the population of Tameside and Glossop. We care for anyone with a life limiting diagnosis including cancer, respiratory, cardiac and progressive neurological conditions.On our In Patient Unit, we care for these adults by providing symptom control and end of life care.The needs of the patients and their families are at the heart of all we do.
We are looking for an exceptional nurse to join our team as the Ward Manager.You will have a passion for palliative and end of life care, as well as a desire to develop and nurture the staff within the hospice team.
We are currently reviewing all our services to work more closely with our community partners in providing excellent integrated and coordinated end of life care.You will therefore promote and drive a culture of process improvement and change and have experience of change management within a clinical setting.
We provide a comprehensive range services that sit alongside our 12 bedded Inpatient Unit including our START clinic, dementia nurses, family support and medical outpatients and you will work collaboratively and flexibly as the patient needs demand.

Specialist Physiotherapist/ Occupational Therapist

Band 6 - £28,050 - £36,644 Full Time – 37.5 hours

Willow Wood Hospice is set in a tranquil location in Ashton Under Lyne and serves the population of Tameside and Glossop. We see anyone with a life limiting diagnosis including cancer, respiratory, cardiac and progressive neurological conditions. We also have specialist dementia nurses, and run a lymphoedema clinic two days a week.
We aim to help everyone who passes through our doors to attain the best possible quality of life. Our care whether it be physical, psychological, social or spiritual also extends to families and carers.
We provide a comprehensive range of day services including our START clinic, dementia nurses, family support and medical outpatients plus a 12 bedded Inpatient Unit.
We are currently reviewing all our services to work more closely with our community partners in providing excellent integrated and coordinated end of life care
We are looking for a physiotherapist or occupational therapist to extend our therapy team. There is currently both a band 7 PT and OT as part of the clinical service. You will work across all areas of the hospice, both current and those developed in the future, meeting the therapy and rehabilitation needs of our patients, and supporting families and carers.
You will be fully integrated into the day services clinical team which includes nursing staff and clinical assistants as well as the therapists. You will act as deputy to the day services clinical lead as required.
We are looking for someone who has a real interest in palliative and end of life care, is keen to take an holistic approach to their practice and has developed skills across professional boundaries in order to meet patient need.

Retail Shop Managers - Glossop & Droylsden/Denton

Salary: £17,460 - £18,702 Full Time – 37.5 hours

Due to the ongoing expansion of our Retail Operation we have two exciting opportunities for outgoing, enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals to join our team. One to run both our Denton and Droylsden shops and one in our Glossop shop.
Under the direction of the Retail Operations Manager, you will be responsible for generating income through effective management of the sale of new and donated goods, shop budget, expenditure and our volunteers.
With the responsibility to recruit, train and manage all volunteers, experience of managing a team is essential.

Grounds Person/Maintenance Assistant

Salary: £7,450 Part Time - 16 hours per week (days to be agreed)

We are looking for somebody to join our team who has experience of working in buildings maintenance
You will be a self motivated individual happy to work under the direction of our Maintenance Technician, to maintain the high standard of buildings and grounds at Willow Wood Hospice and retail outlets.
As this role includes working across our number of sites, you must be able to drive and hold a clean licence.
