Assistant Practitioner

Band 4 - £21,089 - £23,761

Full Time – 37.5 hours per week

Things are really changing here at Willow Wood Hospice and we are hoping you will join our team at this exciting time! We need an Assistant practitioner to join our multi-disciplinary team in day services

We have a range of day services including our nationally respected START clinic, family support, dementia service, medical outpatients and Lymphoedema clinic. The team consists of specialist nurses, OT, Physiotherapy, and clinical assistants. A team of experienced volunteers also supports us.

As the assistant practitioner, you will have or be willing to develop the competencies necessary to support our nurses, OT and PT in the treatment and care of all our day patients. The work is demanding but immensely rewarding.

We are about to commence on a new journey as part of the development of an integrated palliative care service here at Willow Wood; working closely with the specialist palliative care team and respite team. This will bring with it further exciting developments.

You must have extensive experience of working in a healthcare setting and have completed an NVQ 3 or similar level of training. The post has identified competencies and we will support you in developing this through mentorship and on -site and external training. You should be fully computer literate and ideally be able to drive a car. The post will be based primarily in day services but you will be flexible in order to meet service demands both now and in the future.

Please find the full job description here and our application form here. Once completed, please return to recruitment@willowwood.info.

For an informal chat about the role, please contact Nicky Byrne, Clinical Services Coordinator on 0161 330 1100

Closing Date: Friday 22 November 2019
