Do you want to make a difference to the lives of those with life-limiting illnesses? Do you have experience in managing relationships with trusts and foundations, and a passion for generating income through charitable sources? If so, we want to hear from you!

Willow Wood Hospice is a registered charity that provides palliative care to individuals in Tameside and Glossop. With the help of our dedicated team, we provide excellent care to our patients and their families every day. However, we need your help to continue providing these vital services.

As a Trusts, Foundations and Grants Fundraiser, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a trusts and foundations strategic plan to achieve an agreed income target. You will manage relationships with and make applications to a range of grant-making trusts and charitable foundations, including corporate and publicly-funded foundations. To succeed in this role, you will need to be an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing. You will be able to write and submit compelling and targeted applications in a range of styles to meet donor requirements, including application forms, emails, presentations and letters. You will also need to have experience in building positive relationships with a portfolio of new and existing trusts and foundations to encourage support for the hospice.

We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and able to manage their workload effectively. You will be able to deliver high standards of stewardship, ensuring that all reporting requirements are met according to agreed schedules and in line with the funder’s criteria, including case studies and impact reports. Additionally, you will need to be able to work closely with the relevant members of staff to build and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the hospice’s services and identify opportunities for trust funding bids, involving colleagues in the application process.
